  • Types of Documents:
    • A RESUME is typically used by healthcare professionals in administrative or back-office operations.
    • A CURRICULUM VITAE (CV) is typically used by people in the medical, academic, and scientific professions.
  • Typical Headings in a CV include:
    • Education/ Degrees
    • Internships
    • Qualifications
    • Summary
    • Professional Experience
    • Awards and Honors
    • Publications
    • Speaking Engagements, Conferences, Professional Affiliations
  • The length of your resume/ CV is determined by your expereince, It is okay to go over 1 page.
  • Include details and specifics for what you have done and accomplished.
  • Along with duties list and highlight your accomplishments.
  • Include action verbs such as "resolved," "planned," "strategized," and "achieved."
  • Include specific dates for licensure and certifications.
  • Employment dates should include the month and year for the beginning and end of a position.
  • Experience should be listed in reverse chronological order.
  • Check your resume for spelling and grammatical errors.
